WELCOME TO BOROBOT

Teaching the power to create
BoroBot is a group of local volunteers that make up a public-private partnership combining the efforts of local business, the school district, and the town government to boost STEM learning opportunities for children and adults. Our early focus is to teach advanced prototyping techniques like the CAD->3D printing pathway with a focus on electronics and micro-controllers, but our long term goal is to teach the skills to jump start a young career or restart an established one with marketable skills and an entrepreneurial focus.

#3D PRINTING

This is a 2-hour class, fit for ages 8-21. This is the same inspiration-style class we have offered in the past, so we will only accept new students, not repeat attendees at this time. Soon we will have advanced classes to offer, but for now our goal is to inspire as many young minds as possible, and we hope you understand

LASERCUTTING
SOLDERING
& ELECTRONICS
In this 2-hour class, Heather and co-teachers will teach children ages 8-21. Students will be able to design their own project that will be cut in front of their eyes and be ready to take home by the end. Students will learn about vector drawing using web tools, laser safety, and the basics of laser cutting.
This 2-hour class is for complete beginners, ages 10-21. We will spend time focusing on soldering technique, learning a little about the common electronic components that we will use, and then building an interactive electronic project that will continue to work at home!
